Problem

Error in Squirrel Mail while sending Auto Reply or Vacation Error .

Error :

May 10 13:39:19 griffin sendmail[18610]: o4A3dAFW018583: to=\\dir.yokine, delay=00:00:04, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=local, pri=104256, dsn=2.0.0, stat=Sent
May 10 13:39:19 griffin smrsh: uid 2913: attempt to use “vacation dir.yokine” (stat failed)
May 10 13:39:19 griffin sendmail[18610]: o4A3dAFW018583: to=”|/usr/bin/vacation dir.yokine”, ctladdr= (2913/2913), delay=00:00:04, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=prog, pri=104256, dsn=5.0.0, stat=Service unavailable

Solution :

Squirrel use RPM vacation to send an autoreply . Install the rpm called vacation in the server and it should be ok ..

    vacation program is also available in sendmail-8.13 (and later probably too) source. So if you compiled sendmail manually you can build vacation from vacation directory of sendmail source in an easy way:
    cd /vacation
    ./Build install
    Don’t forget to make a link to /usr/bin/vacation from /etc/smrsh
